0 Solar Storm: Solar storm will hit the earth today, there may be blackout in the world

Sun Hole Solar Storm: There can be a big disaster on the earth. Because solar winds moving faster than a hole in the Sun’s atmosphere could collide with Earth’s magnetic field today (August 3). This is expected to trigger a minor G-1 geomagnetic storm.

Danger of blackout:

A geomagnetic storm can disrupt radio signals, causing interference to radio operators. Apart from this, GPS users can also feel problems. The effect of solar storm can also be on the signal of mobile phone, as well as it can have an effect on the power grid, which is also prone to blackout. For this reason, a lot of concern is being expressed about this storm.

Coronal holes are regions in the Sun’s upper atmosphere where our star’s electrified gas (or plasma) is cooler and less dense. There are also holes where the Sun’s magnetic field lines, instead of looping back in on themselves, beam out into space. This enables solar material to grow in a torrent traveling at 1.8 million miles per hour (2.9 million kilometers per hour), according to the Exploratorium, a science museum in San Francisco.

15 to 18 hours from sun to earth:

According to the Space Weather Prediction Center, debris from the Sun, or coronal mass ejection (CME), usually takes about 15 to 18 hours to reach Earth. This storm occurs when the Sun enters the most active phase of its nearly 11-year-long solar cycle.
