India defeated West Indies by seven wickets in the third T20I. Batting first after losing the toss, West Indies scored 164 for five in 20 overs. Kyle Meyers played the highest innings of 73 runs.
In reply, India chased down the target for the loss of three wickets in 19 overs thanks to Suryakumar’s 76. With this win, India have taken a 2-1 lead in the five-match T20I series.
Captain Rohit Sharma retired hurt. He was batting after scoring 11 runs in five balls when this happened. Rishabh Pant scored 33 runs in 26 balls and Deepak Hooda played an unbeaten innings of 10 runs. The last two matches of the series will be played on August 6 and 7 in Lauderhill, Florida.
19th win while chasing runs:
This is India’s 19th win in the last 21 matches since July 2019 while chasing in T20Is. During this, Team India has lost only two matches. It is also the biggest run chase at Warner Stadium. Earlier, West Indies had chased 147 runs against Afghanistan in 2017 at this ground.

West Indies innings:
Batting first after losing the toss, West Indies got off to a good start. Brandon King and Kyle Meyers put on 57 runs for the first wicket. King was clean bowled by Hardik Pandya. He scored 20 runs in 20 balls. Meyers then put on a 50-run partnership with captain Nicholas Pooran. Pooran was dismissed after scoring 22 runs. Meyers hit a half-century and was dismissed for 73 runs in 50 balls. He hit eight fours and four sixes in his innings.
Rovman Powell scored 23 runs in 14 balls and Shimron Hetmyer made 20 runs in 12 balls. Devon Thomas and Jason Holder remained unbeaten on one run. India’s innings:
