US Parliament Speaker Nancy Pelosi reached Taiwan on Tuesday night without fearing China’s threat. After this, the tension between China and America increased on the issue of Taiwan’s independence. Pelosi told the government and people of Taiwan in a discussion with the media that his visit is about protecting human rights, opposing unfair trade practices and security.
China had threatened the US of dire consequences for Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. Pelosi ignored this threat and reached there on a day trip. Pelosi is the first major US leader to visit the independent island in 25 years. In protest against his visit, China tried to show strength to America by flying its fighter plane in Taiwan, but the superpower country ignored it.

US Speaker Pelosi told Taiwanese media, “I am here to listen to the Taiwanese people and learn how we can move forward together.” We congratulate Taiwan on its successful handling of COVID. 21 Chinese military planes took off in Taiwan:
Soon after Nancy Pelosi landed in Taipei on Tuesday, 21 Chinese military aircraft took off over the southwest of Taiwan’s Air Defense Identification Zone. This has been confirmed by the Ministry of National Defense of Taiwan. There is tremendous tension between China and America regarding the tour. China is planning to conduct targeted military operations in view of his visit. China expressed serious objection, saying that the result of taking hostility from 1.4 billion Chinese citizens would not be good.
The Defense Ministry said on Twitter, “21 PLA aircraft (eight PLA J-11, 10 J-16, KJ-500 AEW&C, Y-9 EW and Y-8 ELINT) flew south of Taiwan on August 2, 2022. Entered the West Air Defense Identification Zone.” Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense said that in response to China’s military aircraft, Taiwan has launched air patrol operations. Radio warnings have been sent and defense missile systems have been deployed to track Chinese military aircraft.
Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan is being seen as a visit by a US congressional delegation to counter China’s threat in the Indo-Pacific region. Minutes after Pelosi’s plane landed in Taipei, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) announced it would conduct six live-fire military exercises in waters around Taiwan, scheduled to take place from Thursday to Sunday. On the other hand, America has not indicated any change in its policy.
China has warned:
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said, Nancy’s visit will have a serious impact on bilateral relations with the US. This will also affect regional peace and stability. To counter the attack, the Chinese military will conduct a series of targeted operations. This is a serious violation of the One China Policy and the Three Agreements. China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that America’s deceit on the Taiwan issue has bankrupted its credibility. The American has shown once again that he is the biggest threat to peace in the world.
