West Indies vs India (WIvIND): The 2nd T20 of India tour of West Indies will be played between WI vs IND, the match will start at 08:00 PM IST on 01 August 2022 at Warner Park, St Kitts
Team winner Prediction:
Key Points:
- India has won 14 out of its previous 15 T20 matches
- West Indies has a very dangerous batting linup but its bowling is weak and can be targetted
- India is playing high-risk cricket and there is bound to be a day when it fails but for now, it seems to be pulling it off
WI vs IND Analysis:
India registered a massive victory in the first T20 against the West Indies. That was Rohit Sharma’s 12th win in his previous 13 matches and it looks like anything he touches turns to gold at the moment. West Indies will be disappointed but will not lose hope. We thought it misread the pitch a little and that can sometimes happen.
The next venue is potentially a very high-scoring one which should suit the West Indies more.
The cricket betting sites still have India as the clear favorite and that is to be expected. There should be plenty of betting opportunities that you can take advantage of in this match, though.

Pitch and Weather Conditions:
The weather forecast for the match in St. Kitts is excellent. We should have a complete match without any interruptions. The pitch at Warner Park should be faster and offer more bounce than what we saw in Trinidad. The spinners will have lesser of a role to play and we also think more sixes will be hit than in the first match.
A score of around 170-180 should be seen as par.
Team Preview:
West Indies (WI):
West Indies picked one spinner on a surface that turned out to be quite helpful for the slow bowlers and had to pay the price. Akeal Hossain was very effective during his four overs but the other bowlers struggled. In particular, Jason Holder was a complete liability with the ball and we are sure the team management would be worried about that.
West Indies does have a dangerous batting lineup. Kyle Mayers looked very dangerous in his short stint and even the other batters (Brooks, Pooran, Powell, and Hetmyer) all got starts. Six different batters hit at least one six in the match for the West Indies and it is clear that they have more power in their lineup.
The problem has been execution although we do think they will do better at Warner Park where the spinners will not get as much help.
The depth in the West Indian batting lineup is scary. They have Jason Holder as a floater, Odean Smith to come in around number 9, and Keemo Paul at 10 who is also quite capable with the bat. A good batting surface where the West Indian batters can tee off with some confidence could help them pose a real challenge to India.
The bowling department is where the West Indies team seems to fall off. Jason Holder and Alzarri Joseph were very expensive in the previous match. Odean Smith is not someone you can depend on to bowl his full quota of overs and Keemo Paul is also in the same boat.
This leaves Obed McCoy and Akeal Hossain as the two potential best bowlers. You can look to bet on McCoy for the Top Bowler West Indies betting market. He bowls at the death where he gets a lot of wickets in most games.
Likely XI: Shamarh Brooks, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Nicholas Pooran (c & wk), Kyle Mayers, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Odean Smith, Keemo Paul, Alzarri Joseph, Obed McCoy

India (IND):
India pulled off a couple of surprises in the previous match. Instead of opening with Rishab Pant, as was widely expected, they opened with SKY and that is not a decision we can really understand. They also did not play Deepak Hooda, perhaps their most in-form T20 batter right now, and instead played the struggling Iyer.
The only explanation for those moves is that India wants to try different things and give every player a chance before the squad for the T20 World Cup is locked down. You can expect a couple of changes in the team for this match as well.
India’s batting has been noticeably more aggressive in the last few matches. Rohit Sharma hit his first century in 24 T20 internationals and looked like a million dollars. We expect Pant to come back to the top of the order for this match.
With Iyer, SKY, Pandya, Jadeja, and Karthik, India has a very dynamic T20 lineup. The idea to keep attacking at all phases of the inning is going to put pressure on the opposition but will also result in some collapses on occasions.
We would look to bet on Rohit Sharma and Rishab Pant to score runs in this match. You can look at their individual Total Runs Over/Under markets.
India played three spinners in the previous match. We don’t think that will be the case in St. Kitts where the fast bowlers will have more of a say. Avesh Khan or Harshal Patel should make a comeback into the lineup. Arshdeep Singh is also making quite an impact and he may be a good candidate for the Top Bowler India betting market.
India’s depth in this format is quite brilliant and its recent form is terrific. It would take a strong man to bet against this team at the moment.
Likely XI: Rohit Sharma (c), Rishabh Pant (wk), Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravi Bishnoi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Arshdeep Singh
