Born on 26 May 1977 in Delhi, Zorawar Kalra is primarily known for his Indian food. They have restaurants in many countries like USA, England, Canada, Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bangladesh. Their restaurants run in 14 cities in India alone. Zoravar Kalra, who is participating in Colors channel’s reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ for the first time, says, ‘I have never been associated with dance. My partner choreographer Suchitra is teaching me the dance steps according to my body.
Ravar Kalra has hosted the Star Plus show ‘Master Chef India Season 5’ in the year 2016. Zoravar says, ‘During this show, I learned to face the TV. I have also come as a guest in Bigg Boss. But dancing is a big challenge for me. If I can dance, anyone can. People will get inspiration from my dance. After leaving here, dance must have become an important part of my life.
The restaurant business was inherited by Zorawar Kalra from his father Jiggs Kalra. Zorawar Kalra says, ‘My father was very fond of food. He got deep knowledge about food from Dadiji. He gave many years of his life to eat Indian food. He took Indian food to the world level.
Zorawar Kalra’s grandfather was in the military, but his father made a career in Indian cuisine. Zorawar Kalra says, ‘My father was a journalist. Features written about their food were published in the newspapers. He wrote a book on Indian food called ‘Cooking with Indian Masters’. Today’s generation is leaving Indian food and adopting fast food. It is my endeavor that today’s generation also know about Indian cuisine.
