FIDE, the global governing body of chess, announced on Tuesday that an Olympic-like torch relay will be introduced during the 44th Chess Olympiad to be held in July-August, which will be held before each season of the prestigious tournament.
This type of torch relay will always start from India, the birthplace of chess, and reach the host city after traveling through all the continents.
