Special attention will be given to those flying kites and balloons. 400 soldiers have been deployed separately to stop the kite-flyers.
Police will take over the high-rise buildings located around the Red Fort and Delhi Police commandos and shooters will be deployed on them. These buildings will be sealed. After the input, the colonies of Rohingyas located in Delhi are also being monitored.
While briefing the media on Monday about the security arrangements of Red Fort, Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order, Zone-I) of Delhi Police, Deepender Pathak said that on August 15, Delhi Police will be guarded from ground to sky.
More than 10 thousand Delhi Police personnel will be stationed around the Red Fort and on the roads leading to it. He said that this time the security circle of the Red Fort is being made in coordination with the security agencies keeping in mind the kind of inputs received from the intelligence department.
On every side, this time also the area around the Red Fort will be a no-flying zone during the Independence Day program. Like every time, this time also there will be a ban on flying kites, balloons, drones and light aircraft etc. More than 400 kite catchers were installed to deter balloons and kites.
Apart from this, more than one thousand modern CCTV cameras have been installed, the Special Commissioner of Police said. These cameras will keep an eye on the visitors. Delhi Police is taking every step of security. Verification of tenants, guest houses and cyber cafes etc. is being done.
Police is strengthening its preparations by placing dummy bombs in the markets by doing mock drills. He has appealed to the people through the media to follow the guidelines and suggestions of the police and immediately inform the police about the suspicious object.
Delhi Police is in touch with neighboring states’ police:
Special Commissioner of Police Deependra Pathak said that Delhi Police is in touch with the police of neighboring states. Recently, a meeting of interstate coordination has been held with the police of neighboring states.
It agreed to exchange real time information. Neighboring states have assured all possible assistance. The borders will be sealed from August 13 itself. Strict checking will be done at the borders.
There may be riots in the colonies on August 15:
This time Delhi Police has got inputs from the intelligence department that there may be riots in the colony of Rohingyas on this 15th August. When the Special Commissioner of Police was asked about the preparedness regarding the input, he said that the Special Branch of Delhi Police has already made an institutional mechanism for the Rohingya. Special attention is being paid to the colonies.
