According to a senior official of the Union Culture Ministry, celebrities are being requested to post pictures or videos with the Indian national flag on various social media platforms during the three-day campaign starting August 13. Wishing friends and fans a very Happy Independence Day.
The program aims to rejuvenate the spirit of patriotism and enthusiasm around Independence Day. It is expected that people will upload their photos on micro-blogging sites, other platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Earlier, corporates and non-government institutions have also decided to join it.
Recently, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs allowed the use of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds for the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. The Ministry of Culture has also collaborated with postal departments, state governments and e-commerce websites to provide adequate stock of the Indian National Flag.
