The donations of all political parties including BJP have decreased in the financial year 2020-21 during the Corona period. There has been a decrease of 79.24% in donations to the BJP as compared to the last financial year. Despite this, the party has declared Rs 752.337 crore in 2020-21.
In this, he got Rs 577.974 crore in donation. This disclosure has been made in the report of the Association for Democratic Reforms. The report has been prepared on the basis of assessment of audit reports submitted by political parties to the Election Commission.
Congress is second with 58.11% less donations. He has given details of 285.765 crores in 2020-21. CPI(M) donations have increased by more than seven per cent. BJP, Congress, CPI(M), NCP, BSP, Trinamool Congress, CPI and NPEP have announced a donation of 1373,783 crores.
BJP spent 620.398 crore, which is 82.46% of the total donation amount. Congress spent 209 crores, which is 73.14%. Trinamool Congress spent 78.52% of the Rs 74.417 crore donation. CPI(M) has spent 59.52% out of the amount of 171.046 crore.
BSP and NCP have spent 32.97 and 34.87 per cent, respectively, of the total donations. NPEP has declared the lowest contribution amount of 69.80 lakhs, which is only 0.051 per cent of the total donations from national parties.
CPI(M)’s earnings increased, others decreased:
There has been a decrease of 2870.943 crores in 2020-21 in comparison to 2019-20 in BJP’s donations. The party had announced donations of Rs 3623.28 crore in the last financial year, which has come down to Rs 752.337.
At the same time, there has been a decrease of 58.1 percent i.e. 396.445 crores in Congress donations. Trinamool’s donations have come down by 48.20%. Similarly, BSP has registered a shortfall of 5.789 crores i.e. 9.94 per cent. Only CPI(M)’s earnings have increased. It has received donations of Rs 171.046 crore as against 158.62 crore. This is 7.83 percent i.e. Rs 12.426 crore more.
BJP received maximum amount of donation:
BJP got 577.974 crores, Congress 95.424 crores, CPI(M) 95.294 crores, Trinamool Congress 42.214 crores, NCP 26.261 crores and NPEP 67.17 lakhs.
Congress got 156.907 crores from coupons:
Congress collected Rs 156.907 crore from maximum coupons. This is 54.91 per cent of the party’s total donations. The party got 95.424 crores in terms of grants, donations and contributions, which is more than 33 percent of the total donations.
