Samrat Prithviraj Review: The weak chapter of Prithviraj’s pride saga, another blow to Akshay Kumar’s credibility

‘Samrat Prithviraj’ is finally out in theatres. What is the craze of Hindi cinema all over the world, its testimony was found here in the cinema hall of Abu Dhabi where a large number of people gathered to see ‘Samrat Prithviraj’.

Among these people, the craze of watching a new film was more than watching a historical film or Akshay Kumar’s film or Yash Raj Films film. This is the meaning of Friday for the common cinema lover. For him every Friday brings a new hope, a new hope.

It is expected that at some point Hindi cinema will come out of the aura of its stars. Will work on stories. It will hit the super stars for not acting properly in front of the camera, but no, films are still made here only because Akshay Kumar has said yes to a film.

Adi and the tangled story at the end:

The story of the movie ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ is a complete movie. Different from the epic ‘Prithviraj Raso’ written by Chandbardai. It is said about ‘Prithviraj Raso’ that Chandbardai wrote it as far as Prithviraj Chauhan’s hymn song is in it, after which his family completed the part.

And, its writer, director Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi has taken full leeway regarding this ending. Akshay Kumar appealed a day before the release of the film that those watching it should not leak the important things of the film so that the fun of watching this film for others is not spoiled.

But, what is in the beginning and end of the film does not match with what Chandbardai wrote. The story begins with Prithviraj being shown as a prisoner. There is a chance in front of him to save his life, if he bows his head in front of Mohammad Ghori. Full film use of this occasion. The audience also gets a chance to cheer for Prithviraj, but before that the story of the film goes into the past.

Akshay Kumar becomes weak link:

There is a public opinion about Prithviraj Chauhan that he became the king of Ajmer in 11 years and was martyred in his youth. Casting Akshay Kumar as this young king is the weakest link in the film.

Speaking pure Hindi has been a challenge for him. Anuswar is not pronounced by them. According to a king’s pride, he changes his gait, but his dialogue delivery becomes his biggest weakness. His fans will not like seeing Sonu Sood, who got the title of ‘Messiah’ during the Corona transition period, in such characters.

Sanjay Dutt has lost all that he earned in his last film ‘KGF Chapter 2’. Manav Vij and Ashutosh Rana do their best but the audience of Hindi cinema has more expectations from them. This film has also made it difficult for the world beauty Manushi Chillar, who is doing her bounty on the big screen with the film ‘Samrat Prithviraj’.

Chandra Prakash missed the ring master:

Apart from Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar, the third weak link in the film ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ is its writing and direction. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi has been saying that he has done 15 years of research on this film.

But, he has not been able to take this hard work on screen. Its story getting watered by his film fantasies weakens its script. And, he could not even get Akshay Kumar to act like ‘Emperor Prithviraj’.

It is also evident here that it is not an easy task to direct the superstars of Hindi films. Directing Akshay Kumar’s scenes in the film was done in a meticulous manner, and this proved to be a detriment to the film.

Technically weak film:

It is said that the film ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ is a film of making and promotion cost of Rs 300 crores. It was also said that its producer Aditya Chopra spent 25 crores only on making its sets. If the sets of the film and the visual effects used in it are examples of the technical prowess of Yash Raj Films, then this film is also a film to damage the reputation of this company.

The cinematography of the film does not stand the test of a historical film and the editing of the film is also weak. The trio of Shankar Ehsaan and Loy definitely tries to add Rajasthani color to the songs of the film and succeeds to some extent but the song is not something that you will remember after the film is over.

The speed with which Akshay Kumar took films with both hands before the Corona transition period and during the Corona transition period, those decisions have put his career in danger.

If the film ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ became his third consecutive flop at the box office, then his crisis is going to increase further regarding the films ahead. Even the die-hard fans of Akshay Kumar are bound to be disappointed in this film.
