The war of words between Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is intensifying on Twitter. Kejriwal’s claim that we are making India number-1, but Sarma has retaliated. Sarma told Kejriwal, ‘You don’t make India No. 1, Modi ji is already doing this work’.
There is already a war between AAP and BJP over Delhi’s liquor policy. At the same time, Assam CM is also upset with the allegations of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia of PPE kit scam on Sarma’s wife. They have filed a defamation case against Sisodia.
Sarma v/s Kejriwal: This is how the war of words started
- Actually, the war of words between the two CMs started with the decision of the Assam government regarding the school.
- The Assam government has decided that the schools where the students of class 10th have failed will be closed.
- On this, Kejriwal had tweeted saying that closing the school is not the solution to the problem.
- In response, Assam CM Sarma released a list of schools that were opened during his tenure as Education Minister.
- Kejriwal then replied that he did not intend to criticize the Assam government. He said that he would visit the state to see the good work of the Assam government. India will become number 1 only when we learn from each other. Along with this, Kejriwal also mentioned about his ‘Make India No-1’ campaign.
Assam is 50 times bigger than Delhi: Sarma
In response, Sarma tweeted, ‘Dear Kejriwal ji, your ignorance is painful. I’ll tell you Assam is 50 times bigger than Delhi. 65 lakh children study in our 44,521 government schools. Whereas there are a little more than 1000 schools in Delhi. We have a dedicated army of two lakh teachers. There are 1.18 lakh mid day meal workers. If you see our challenges, you will forget to give discourses. Assam faces challenges like floods, terrorism. We don’t have resources like Delhi. When you come to Assam I will take your medical college, it is better than your mohalla clinic. I will also introduce you to our bright students and teachers.
Dear @ArvindKejriwal Ji, Your ignorance is painful. Let me help you. Assam is 50 times bigger than Delhi! Our 44521 government schools teach 65 lakh students- against your 1000+ odd schools. Our army of dedicated teachers number 2+ lakh; Midday meal workers 1.18 lakh. Fathom it?👇
