0 SSC Scam: Partha Chatterjee admitted to hospital as soon as ED gets remand, Arpita Mukherjee to appear in court today

West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday in connection with the probe into the alleged school recruitment scam, was admitted to the hospital in the evening after he complained of uneasiness. An agency official gave this information.

Partha Chatterjee has many health problems. He was admitted to the ICCU of the government-run SSKM Hospital, hours after he was sent to two-day ED custody by a city court. A hospital official said that later after his condition improved slightly, he was taken out of the ICCU and taken to the room.

A hospital official said that the Trinamool Congress general secretary was subjected to several tests, including an ECG. “His condition is stable at present. Several tests have been done and a team of doctors is continuously monitoring his condition,” he said.

An ED source said that cardiologist Dr Saroj Mandal is leading the team of doctors looking after Chatterjee. Security personnel have been deployed outside the minister’s room.

Arpita will be produced in court today:

ED will produce Arpita in court on Sunday. Earlier in the evening, Arpita was also given medical treatment at Joka ESI Hospital.

Party has nothing to do with seized cash, lawyers will reply: TMC

After the arrest of Partha Chatterjee and Arpita, TMC broke the silence and said that the party will unite and fight the BJP. A whole conspiracy has been hatched here and the central agency is being misused. After Parth’s arrest, a meeting of party leaders was held under the leadership of TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee. Firhad Hakim, Arup Biswas and Kunal Ghosh were present in this.

Party general secretary Kunal Ghosh said, “The ED has recovered cash from the house of a gentle lady. TMC has no contact with that woman. Even Trinamool Congress has nothing to do with this money. Lawyers of whom this woman is being talked about will answer.

Ghosh said the party has full faith in the law in the case of Partha Chatterjee’s arrest. The source of this money should be ascertained as soon as possible and the court should be informed. If the allegations against Parth are proved in the court, then our government will take action against him.

ED arrested for not cooperating after 26 hours of interrogation:

Trinamool Congress General Secretary Partha Chatterjee and his close aide Arpita Mukherjee were arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the teacher recruitment scam in West Bengal’s Mamata government. The ED had started questioning Parth on Friday morning in the money laundering case related to the scam.

The ED arrested him on Saturday for not cooperating in the nearly 26-hour interrogation. The scam took place between 2014-2021 when Parth was the education minister. The ED had recovered Rs 21 crore from Arpita’s house on Friday itself.

After getting Parth’s medical done, the ED produced him in the Bankshall court, from where he was sent to two-day ED custody. However, later he was admitted to the hospital on the directions of the court as his health deteriorated. The PMLA court could not appear in the court due to Saturday’s holiday.

Parth told the media, he had tried to contact Mamta Banerjee, but could not get through. The ED had raided several places of Parth and his close associates on Friday. It is alleged that the Trinamool government had recruited teachers by taking money and made crores of rupees. Parth has also been questioned by the CBI several times. He was also questioned in April and May this year.
film actress arpita

Arpita, close to Partha Chatterjee, is an actress in Bengali, Oriya and Tamil films. According to the ED investigation report, Arpita has been the main face of the campaign campaign of 2019 and 2020 in the Durga Puja committee of Parth Nakatla Udayan Sangh. Parth often visits his house.

There were 61 marks, yet the minister’s daughter got the job…77 marks out of merit:

It is alleged that in the teacher recruitment scam, the game of money and influence was played fiercely. The job was given by increasing the number of candidates by taking money. The promising for the powerful were sidelined. It also includes Ankita, daughter of Minister of State for Education Paresh Chandra Adhikari. Ankita got the job after getting only 61 marks, while the applicant with 77 marks was excluded from the merit. When the applicant reached the High Court, the appointment of Ankita was not only stopped, but she was also instructed to return the full salary received in the job.

Misuse of RTI for fraud:

The fraud was carried out with utmost care. The High Court had got the matter investigated by the committee under the leadership of lawyer Arnav Banerjee. It was revealed that the candidates who paid bribe for the recruitment, the officials asked them to demand re-verification of OMR sheets through RTI. Then the marks were increased by altering the OMR sheet. In this way, the officers found a way out for the appointment of unsuccessful candidates. Later the OMR sheets were destroyed.

Corruption race between TMC and AAP: Anurag Thakur

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said that there is a competition between the Mamata Banerjee government of West Bengal and the Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi as to who will do more corruption. The Raj scam of Mamata Banerjee is not new, he said. Already during his government his ministers and leaders have done many scams. TMC has actually become The Mountain of Corruption.

Similarly, Arvind Kejriwal’s government, which came to power by speaking out against corruption, is so engrossed in corruption that it is not able to respond. He said that even though Arvind Kejriwal did not keep any department with him, he has given free rein to the ministers of all the departments of corruption.

Manish Sisodia had the Excise Department, the way he returned Rs 140 crore to liquor companies just before the elections, it clearly shows how big a scam was done and Kejriwal himself did the work of covering it up. They are afraid to resign from both of them, perhaps because they are partners themselves.

West Bengal government steeped in corruption: Pradhan

The Union Education Minister said that the Bengal government is steeped in corruption. He said, there was a time, when Bengal used to inspire the whole country in the field of education, today the High Court has to order a CBI inquiry into the scam. Bengal’s future needs and education policy are mutually complementary. It will be opposed by those people who do not want the youth of Bengal to be educated and get employment.

43 crore scam, minister Parth’s private secretary also detained:

ED claims that Mamata Banerjee government has scammed more than 43 crores in school teacher recruitment. Its strings are associated with many big personalities. After the arrest of Parth and Arpita, the ED also took into custody Sukant Acharya, who was Parth’s personal secretary. The ED on Saturday took into custody Sukanta Acharya, private secretary (OSD) of former education minister Partha Chatterjee from New Barrackpore.

After that he was brought to CGO Complex. On Friday itself, the ED team reached his residence in New Barrackpore in search of him, but he could not be found at home. After a lot of search and search, they were caught by the ED on Saturday morning. Not only this, the ED has also taken Chandan Mandal alias Ranjan and Monalisa Das under its radar. Their search continues.

Chandan played the role of a mediator in the illegal appointment of teachers. More than 10 properties of Monalisa Das have been found, many of them are flats. Monalisa took admission in Kazi Nazrul University in Asansol in 2014 and is currently the head of the Bengali department in the same university.

Wrong arrest without notice:

Speaker Bengal Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee said, ED has arrested the member of the assembly without any information. This method is wrong. Be it ED or CBI, it has to be informed to the speaker before arrest.
