India defeated Ireland by seven wickets in the first match of the two-match T20I series. The match started after about two and a half hours due to rain. The umpires cut the overs and made the match 12-12 overs. Batting first, Ireland scored 108 runs for the loss of four wickets in 12 overs. Harry Tector scored an unbeaten 64 while batting brilliantly.

Ireland’s innings:

Hooda could not score a half-century and remained unbeaten on 47 runs off 29 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes. Karthik remained unbeaten on five runs with the help of a four. In this way Team India won by seven wickets.
