0 IND vs SA 3rd T20: India won by 48 runs, SA lead 2-1 in the series

In the third match played between India and South Africa, India defeated South Africa by 48 runs on the basis of excellent performance by the bowlers. With this win, India have registered their first win in the 5-match series and have kept their hopes of winning the series alive. South Africa had a target of 180 runs to win but the team could score only 131 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal took 3 wickets and Harshal Patel took 4 wickets for India.

South Africa’s innings:

Chasing the target of 180 runs, South Africa did not have a good start and the team got the first blow on the score of only 23. Captain Bavuma was caught by Axar Patel at the hands of Avesh Khan on the personal score of 8 runs. For the second wicket, Hendricks was caught by Harshal Patel at the hands of Chahal. He played a short innings of 23 runs. Dusen was out on a personal score of 1 run as the third wicket and he was caught by Chahal at the hands of Pant. Chahal got Pretorius caught by Pant at the score of 20 runs. David Miller played an innings of just 3 runs and became the victim of Harshal Patel. Klaasen was out as the team’s last hope for the sixth wicket. He was caught by Chahal at the hands of Axar on a personal score of 29 runs. The 7th blow came in the form of Rabada. He was dismissed by Harshal Patel at the hands of Chahal on a personal score of 9 runs. Maharaj was out as the 8th wicket. Bhuvneshwar got him out at the hands of Karthik on the score of 11.

India’s innings, Ruturaj Gaikwad & Ishan Kishan’s half-century:

Indian opener batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad completed his fifty in 30 balls. During this innings, he hit 2 sixes and 6 fours. This was his first fifty in T20 International cricket. The first blow to India came in the form of Gaikwad. He was dismissed by Maharaj on his own ball on a personal score of 57. Iyer was dismissed for 14 runs as the second wicket. He was caught by Shamsi at the hands of Narkhiya. Ishan Kishan was out for the third wicket. He was dismissed by Pretorius at the hands of Hendricks on a personal score of 54. Captain Pant was out as the fourth wicket, who was caught by Pretorius at the hands of Bavuma on the personal score of 6 runs. The Indian team got the fifth blow in the form of Karthik. He became the victim of Rabada on the score of 6 runs.

No change in any team’s playing XI:

India and South Africa did not make any changes in their playing XI for the third T20 match.
