Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave tonight to attend the two-day G-7 summit to be held in Germany. He will also hold bilateral meetings and discussions with the leaders of the countries participating in the summit.
Apart from this, he will also interact with the people of Indian community in a community program. The summit, to be held on 26 and 27 June, will discuss important global challenges including the Ukraine-Russia war, the situation in the Indo-Pacific, food and energy security, climate.
Kirby said – our aim is to unite all
Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby’s statement has surfaced ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Germany. He said, India, Indonesia, South Africa, Argentina, Senegal have been invited for this summit. The G7 has some agenda items that will apply to those countries. Our aim is to unite countries with similar principles and initiatives.
Climate change and food security are important issues:
John Kirby said, the G-7 wants to move forward on issues such as climate change, energy and food security. He said, I have already said that the purpose of this conference is not to separate these countries from Russia. Rather, it is to bring together countries with similar agendas.
G-7 is a group of seven countries:
The G-7 group is a grouping of the world’s seven richest countries, currently headed by Germany. The group includes Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States. Countries like Argentina, Indonesia, Senegal, South Africa have also been invited.
US President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macro, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and many other top leaders are participating in this meeting.
