0 Gyanvapi Updates: Survey started in Gyanvapi campus amid tight vigil

Survey proceedings have started in the presence of all the parties on the orders of the court to bring out the truth of Varanasi’s Gyanvapi complex. Special cameras and lights have been arranged for videography of the entire complex.

There is tremendous security around the Gyanvapi campus. The road leading to Gyanvapi from Madagin and Godaulia has been closed for the general public. Baba’s devotees are being given entry into the temple from gate number one.

Kashi Vishwanath Dham area is transformed into a cantonment. Along with Advocate Commissioner Ajay Mishra, the people of the plaintiff-respondent side reached the premises from gate number four. It is being told that the commission proceedings have started from the western part of the Gyanvapi Masjid. The commission proceedings will be held by opening the lock of the prayer place and the basement. Strict legal action will be taken by registering an FIR against those obstructing the proceedings of the commission.

51 people present during commissioning:

The survey includes plaintiff-respondent parties, advocates for both sides, Advocate Commissioner and his team, DGC Civil and his team, Vishwanath Mandir team and police-administrative officers team (total 51). 14 more people are reserved outside, they will be called under any circumstances on the orders of the Advocate Commissioner.

Media kept away from Gyanvapi campus:

The court has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the survey to Advocate Commissioner Ajay Mishra. He is accompanied by Special Court Commissioner Vishal Singh and Assistant Court Commissioner Ajay Pratap Singh. The media has been stopped at the Gyanvapi complex and about a kilometer away from the main gate. The videography survey of Gyanvapi Masjid started at 8 am and will continue till 12 noon.

Report to be presented in court on May 17:

Let us tell you that while hearing this matter, the court has ordered a fresh survey. The report of the matter is to be presented in the court on May 17. The survey proceedings, which began on Saturday, will continue from 8 am to 12 noon every day till May 16.

Earlier, the survey proceedings started on May 6, which came to a halt on May 7 due to the uproar. On May 7 itself, the Anjuman Inazaniya Masajid Committee had submitted an application in the court demanding the replacement of Advocate Commissioner (Court Commissioner). The court rejected this demand on Thursday.

Force on every corner, surveillance from rooftops too:

A large number of PAC and CAPF personnel have been deployed inside and outside Shrikashi Vishwanath Temple Gate No. Apart from the policemen posted earlier, additional forces have also been deployed around the Gyanvapi Mosque.

At the same time, the police are doing rounds in the streets and sensitive areas also imposed along the main road. Police are also deployed on the roofs of the house.
