DRDO, which is engaged in the development of new weapons for the defense of the country, has increased the range of Pinak rocket. The extended range of the rocket was successfully test fired at the Pokhran firing range in Rajasthan.
An official of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) said that it has developed this rocket, but the production is being done by a private sector firm. The trials of these rockets are going on in Pokhran. Many successful trials have been conducted.
