In Haryana, 11,000 teachers will be recruited in a year. Five thousand posts of PGT will be filled through Haryana Public Service Commission and six thousand posts of TGT will be filled through Staff Selection Commission.
Till the regular recruitment is done, the vacancies will be filled through Skill Employment Corporation. Surcharge waiver scheme-2022 for various categories of defaulter electricity consumers and one-time settlement scheme for payment of arrears of passenger and goods tax.
On Thursday, Chief Minister Manohar Lal made several announcements related to education, electricity, roads, transport, development and health. Thousands of kilometers of new roads will be built in cities and rural areas. The government will give 50 percent grant to urban bodies for road construction. There is no shortage of JBT teachers in the state.
In last 8 years government has recruited 8600 PGT and TGT. The Chief Minister said that the defaulter electricity consumers can pay the outstanding principal amount in one lump sum or in three installments. The scheme will be applicable to domestic, government, agricultural and other consumers. Its benefit will be available to more than 23 lakh consumers who are in default on or after 31 December 2021.
The surcharge will be waived if the electricity bill is paid continuously for one year. The benefit of the scheme will be given to the consumers even after withdrawing the bill disputes going on in the courts. From now on, the construction of new roads in urban areas will be done on the basis of 50-50 percent share.
The decision has been taken due to paucity of funds with the urban local bodies. According to the demands of the people in the cities, the Urban Local Bodies Department will construct and repair 506 km of roads. 141 crore will be spent on this. The tender for the proposed roads will have to be floated in the next 15 days.
Agriculture Marketing Board will build 313 roads:
The Chief Minister said that Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board would build 313 roads of about 850 km length in the state. 425 crores will be spent on this. The new roads will be built with black top technology in place of WBM. These roads will not be filled with water and traffic will also be smooth. These roads will be stronger.
These roads are built from the income earned from market fees. The income from market fees has come down for some time, so for the construction of roads, HRDF will give Rs 150 crore without interest to the marketing board. All roads leading to Mandis will be completed by March 31, 2024. After the construction of new roads, the work of their maintenance will be entrusted to the Zilla Parishad.
2750 km of roads will be built in 90 assembly constituencies:
Demands and suggestions have been taken from MLAs for the construction of roads in 90 assembly constituencies. The Public Works Department will build a total of 2750 km of roads in the next one and a half years.
About Rs 1600 crore will be spent on this. Haryana Urban Development Authority is constructing 112 km of roads. Their tender has been done. About Rs 30 crore will be spent on their construction. It is proposed to construct 197 km of roads in Gurugram and Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority, which will cost about Rs 402 crore.
Roads will be certified every six months:
The Chief Minister said that Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation has 24 industrial estates. Out of these, 273 km of roads are being repaired by contractors. The repair work is not completed on time due to several delays by the contractor, hence defect liabilities will be monitored.
After getting the certification every six months, we will get information about the condition of the roads. The contractors will be instructed to complete the work within the stipulated time. The Public Works Department will build 168 km long roads, which will cost Rs 69 crore.
