Despite India’s objection, the Chinese research vessel Yuan Wang-5 has reached the Hambantota port of Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan government had allowed him to come to its port. This ship is called a research ship, but it mainly conducts espionage under the Chinese military.
According to the report of the Daily Mirror of Sri Lanka, Yuan Wang-5 reached Hambantota port this morning. Since this ship is equipped with high technologies, India had feared espionage from it. The Indian government had expressed concern about this highly-technological research vessel that the ship could spy against India. India had also lodged a complaint in Colombo regarding this.
Despite these concerns, the Chinese research vessel was allowed to visit Hambantota. Sri Lanka’s Port Master Nirmal P Silva has said that he has received the approval of the Ministry of External Affairs to call the Chinese ship to Hambantota port from August 16 to 22. The Hambantota port is strategically sensitive. The port has been developed largely from Chinese debt.
Chinese ship tracks missiles and satellites:
China’s spy vessel Yuan Wang-5 tracks ballistic missiles and satellites. India had expressed national security concerns with Sri Lanka, saying that the tracking systems on board the ship could gather information about the Indian security infrastructure in this coastal area. It can also be used for Chinese military submarines and ships.
The Chinese military uses the PLA Yuan Wang-5:

Chinese ships have already come to Sri Lanka, India rejects China’s allegations:
India has always been strict about the entry of Chinese ships into the Indian Ocean. India on Friday also rejected China’s allegations that New Delhi pressured Colombo to stop the Chinese research vessel’s visit to the Hambantota port.
On Monday, the Chinese Foreign Ministry pointed to India, saying it was completely inappropriate for some countries to put pressure on Sri Lanka, citing so-called security concerns. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said that since Sri Lanka is grappling with economic and political difficulties, interfering in Sri Lanka’s normal exchanges and cooperation with other countries is to exploit its weakness, which is morally irresponsible. and is against the basic norms governing international relations.
Foreign Ministry’s sharp reaction to China’s remarks:
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi has reacted sharply to China’s remarks. He said that we reject the objections in the statement about India. Sri Lanka is a sovereign country and makes its own independent decisions. As far as India-China relations are concerned, we have consistently emphasized the need for mutual respect, mutual sensitivity and mutual interests as the basis for the development of relations.
China engaged in incorporation of Taiwan into China:
On the other hand, the Dragon’s intentions have come to the fore in a white paper prepared by Beijing amid rising tensions between China and Taiwan. In this letter, Taiwan’s deep intentions about integration in China have been revealed. This shows that China does not care about Taiwanese people what they want.

Tensions erupted by US Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit have given China a sort of opportunity for decisive action against Taiwan. However, 23.5 million people from Taiwan would never want to join China.
