The Prime Minister tweeted that this campaign will deepen our association with the Tricolour. He mentioned that the tricolor was adopted as the national flag only on July 22, 1947.
He wrote, ‘This year, as we celebrate the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit’ festival, let us strengthen the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement. From August 13 to August 15, hoist or display the tricolor in your homes. This campaign will deepen our association with the national flag.
Every house should be tricolor on 13-15 August:
In the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, the Tricolor campaign will run from 13 to 15 August 2022. Through this campaign, the government has set a target of hoisting the tricolor on 20 crore homes. All private and government establishments will also be involved in this. Lakhs of people have already started putting the tricolor in their homes, social media profiles etc.

You can also get a certificate of participation in the campaign. For this, you have to go to the website and click on the option of PIN A Flag. After this, by submitting the name, mobile number and location, you can get your certificate. Apart from this, you can also download the theme photo of the campaign from this website.
Tricolor can be ordered from post office:
If you are unable to go out and bring the tricolor, then there is also a system to deliver the tricolor through the post office. For this, you can buy the tricolor by visiting the official website of the post office www.epostoffice.gov.in. For this, you have to enter your address, number of flags and mobile number. The flag will cost Rs 25 and there will be no delivery charge. Keep in mind that once an order is placed, it cannot be canceled. All post offices will remain open even on holidays before Independence Day.
Huge increase in demand for tiranga:
The effect of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ is already visible. There has been a huge increase in the demand for the tricolor in the country. According to many reports, since the announcement of this campaign by PM Modi, the demand for the tricolor has seen an increase of up to 50 times. The situation is that it has become difficult for the traders and manufacturers to supply according to the demand. Traders doing the business of supplying the national flag are also saying that they have never seen such a huge demand for the tricolor before.
What is the stand of political parties?
Different parties are also running tricolor campaign. Congress leaders are putting a picture of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru holding the tricolor on their profile. In Chhattisgarh, the Congress government is running ‘Humar Tiranga’ campaign. Under this, people are putting the tricolor on their social media profiles. In the states where there are BJP governments, there is an effort to take the Har Ghar Tricolor campaign to as many homes as possible. In Madhya Pradesh too, Congress has announced to celebrate Tiranga Mahotsav from 9 to 15 August.
