0 75th Independence Day: Astronaut congratulates India on Independence Day from space

The Amrit Mahotsav of Independence is being celebrated on the completion of 75th year of independence in India. People from all over the world are congratulating India. But a message has come from space far away from planet Earth.

The message was sent by Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti from the International Space Center. Cristoforetti sent a video message from space congratulating the nation on this special occasion.

In a video message, Astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti said that India is delighted to congratulate India on the completion of 75 years of independence. Over the decades, international agencies have worked with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on several space and science missions.

Wishing ISRO success:

Cristoforetti is a European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut and is currently aboard the International Space Station (ISS). He wished the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) success on the ‘Gaganyaan’ programme. This video has been shared with the official Twitter handle of ISRO. In the 1 minute 13 second long video, she is seen wearing a red t-shirt and wishing the ISRO agency all the best.

Samantha has worked with ISRO on several missions:

In the message, she further says that over the decades, international agencies have worked in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on many space and missions. Talking about the two big projects lined up by ISRO, Samantha said that these collaborations continue even today, as ISRO is working on the development of the upcoming Nisar Earth Science Mission, which will help us track disasters and It will also help us gain a better understanding of our changing climate.

ISRO ready to send humans to space:

In this, Cristoforetti said that on behalf of ESA, NASA and all international partners, I would like to extend my best wishes to ISRO. And ISRO is working on the Gaganyaan program and is getting ready to send humans to space. The expansion of our partnership is with ISRO to explore the universe.

He also spoke about the joint Earth-observation mission of NASA and ISRO and said that the International Space Agency is expanding its partnership with ISRO for future space exploration. Let us tell you that the ‘Gaganyaan’ program is India’s first manned space mission which is scheduled to take place in 2023.
