Maruti Suzuki has launched the new 2022 Maruti S-Presso with the new K-Series 1.0L Dual Jet, Dual VVT Engine and Idle-Start-Stop Technology.
The new model is available in 4 trim levels – Std, LXi, Vxi and Vxi – priced between Rs 4.25 lakh and Rs 5.99 lakh. The new S-Presso comes with new safety features that were missing from the previous model.
Engine and Power:
The new S-Presso Next Gen K-Series 1.0L Dual Jet draws power from a Dual VVT petrol engine with Idle Start-Stop Technology. It generates 65bhp power at 5,500rpm and 89Nm peak torque at 3,500rpm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and AGS (auto-gear shift) or AMT. The AGS has been introduced on the top-spec Vxi and Vxi+ variants.
Size and Mileage:
The 2022 Maruti S-Presso AGS claims an ARAI certified mileage of 25.30 kmpl. While the manual version has a claimed mileage of 24.76 kmpl. In terms of size, the S-Presso measures 3,565 mm in length, 1,520 mm in width and 1,567 mm in height.

The new 2022 Maruti S-Presso AGS variant now comes with features like ESP (Electronic Stability Program) with Hill Hold Assist. The Vxi and VXi+ trims get electrically adjustable ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors). The entry-level tall-boy hatchback also gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, force limiter front seatbelts with pre-tensioners and front seatbelt reminder, high-speed alert system and reverse parking sensors.
The hatchback comes with a dynamic center console with steering mounted audio and voice console, twin chamber headlamps and Smart Play Studio. It is based on Suzuki’s lightweight Heartect platform which is also found in the Celerio and Wagon R.
Price:
The new S-Presso is available in 4 trims – Standard, LXi, VXi and VXi+. The manual range is available at a starting price of Rs 4.25 lakh and goes up to Rs 5.49 lakh. On the other hand, the AGS gearbox is available only with the Vxi and Vxi+ variants, which are priced at Rs 5.65 lakh and Rs 5.99 lakh respectively.
