Haryana has emerged as the overall champion in the ongoing shooting competitions in Delhi under the Khelo India Youth Games-2021. Haryana’s Ramita won the gold medal in the girls’ 10m air rifle final on Thursday. While Harshita has won bronze medal. The silver medal has gone to Devanshi of Rajasthan.
With the medals won on Thursday, Haryana has a total of seven medals, including three gold, in shooting competitions. These include three gold, two silver and two bronze medals from Haryana. In shooting, Haryana won gold, silver and bronze medals while doing a clean sweep in the girls’ 10m air pistol.
Haryana also won gold and silver medals in boys’ 10m air pistol. The gold and bronze medals in the girls’ 10m air rifle went to Haryana’s account. Whereas in the shooting medal tally, West Bengal finished second with one gold and one silver.
Haryana won the flag in weightlifting, Ashish won the gold in the 102 kg weight category-
Another gold medal came in Haryana’s bag in weightlifting. Ashish won the gold medal in the weightlifting event of the 102 kg weight category, while Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Singh won silver and Chandigarh’s Paramveer Singh had to be content with bronze.
Haryana’s victory in boxing started:
Haryana has started with victory in boxing competitions. In girls’ boxing match, Geetika of Haryana defeated Neha of Chandigarh and won. In another match, Haryana’s Tamannaah defeated Chandigarh’s Kajal. In Boys’ Boxing match, Ashish of Haryana defeated Zorammuana of Mizoram. All the winning players have advanced to the next round with this win.
Jharkhand has two gold medals in athletics:
The final matches of athletics race, relay race, high jump, long jump were played in the Khelo India Youth Games on Thursday at the Athletics Ground of Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex in Sector-3. Asha Kiran of Jharkhand and Pradeep of Tamil Nadu won the gold medal in the girls’ 800m race.
At the same time, in the 3000 meters race of girls, Supreeti and in boys, Ravideep of Rajasthan has won the gold medal. Apart from this, the team of Gold Maharashtra won the gold medal in the 400 meters relay race.
