0 UEFA Nations League: Belgium beat Poland by 6-1 securing first win of the tournament

When Belgium lost to the Netherlands in Nations League football last week, questions were raised about the team’s commitment to play in the tournament after a long season. Belgium answered all questions in a 6-1 win over Poland on Wednesday night after a goalless draw.

Poland’s Robert Lewandowski scored his 76th international goal in the 28th minute to give the team the lead, but Belgium’s Axel Witsel scored in the 42nd minute to level the score 1-1.

Belgian players dominated in the second half:

Although Wales’s Rice Davies, who qualified for the World Cup after 64 years last week, leveled the score in the second minute of injury time, Waghorst scored the deciding goal for the team. In Group B match, Ukraine beat Ireland 1-0 and Scotland beat Armenia 2-0.
