Spanish football club Real Madrid has once again captured ‘La Liga’. They lifted the title with a 4-0 win against Espanyol on Saturday (30 April). Rial still has four matches left in the league, but no team can overtake him now.
Riyal has 81 points from 34 matches. Second-placed Sevilla have 64 points from 34 matches. Barcelona are third with 63 points from 33 matches and Atletico Madrid are fourth with 61 points from 33 matches.
Rodrigo scored the first goal in the match for Real in the 33rd minute. Just 10 after that, he scored the second goal to take the team 2-0. The score remained the same till halftime.
Even after halftime, Espanyol’s team could not show any miracle. Marco Asensio scored the third goal in Rial’s 55th minute. Star player Karim Benzema lacked a goal in this match, which he made up for in the 81st minute.
Rial’s team has been successful in winning the La Liga title the most 35 times. The last time he won the title in the 2019-20 season, but in 2020-21, he was disappointed.
Then the team of Atletico Madrid became the champion. It was Atletico’s 11th title. Barcelona’s team has become champion 26 times, but it has not been successful after the 2018-19 season. Atletic Bilbao have eight, Valencia six, Real Sociedad two, Deportivo one, Sevilla one and Real Betis once.
