The Kolkata Knight Riders have slipped to 8th place in the IPL 2022 standings after a bright start. Five consecutive losses leading into this match have put KKR in a very tough spot and it somehow has to break this losing streak. Up against it is one of the most impressive teams of IPL 2022, Rajasthan Royals.
Currently, in third place with six wins from nine matches, the Rajasthan Royals have been simply brilliant with their tactics and utilization of resources. It is no surprise that they are the favorites at most IPL betting sites heading into this match.

Pitch and Weather Conditions:
The conditions in Mumbai have been exceptional for cricket so far. The pitches have held up brilliantly and have allowed the batsmen to play freely even though the surfaces are being used every single day. The Wankhede saw close to 400 runs being scored just one day prior to this match.
A different pitch will be used from the square but it could still bring the spinners into play a bit more. In general, though, the Wankhede is a high-scoring ground and something around 170 should be seen as the minimum teams aim for.

KKR made some changes to its team for the previous match like bringing back Aaron Finch and Venkatesh Iyer at the top of the order, giving Baba Indrajith a debut, and including Harshit Rana in the bowling lineup. Nothing seemed to work for them as they were beaten quite comfortably by the Delhi Capitals.
Only three players managed to make it into double figures for KKR in the previous match. Shreyas Iyer, Nitish Rana, and Rinku Singh were those three players. We would pick one of Iyer, Rana, or Russell for the Top Batsman KKR betting market.
Iyer has a tendency of performing under pressure and spent some important time at the crease. He is someone you could also bet on individually to score some runs.
KKR’s batting lineup is dangerous and you never want to count out a team with Andre Russell in it but with the top-order misfiring and two of India’s best spinners in the opposition, things could be tough for KKR once more.
The bowling lineup has been led by Umesh Yadav, who has been absolutely brilliant with the new ball, and by Sunil Narine, who never seems to have a bad match! Once again, though, the rest of the bowling attack is questionable. Tim Southee can be expensive, Harshit Rana is untested, and you never know what you are going to get with Andre Russell.
The current form of the team is also quite poor and that is something you must take into consideration.

Rajasthan Royals (RR):
The Rajasthan Royals suffered a defeat against the Mumbai Indians in the previous match. Jos Buttler seemed to be struggling to find his timing for the most part but still ended up scoring 67 runs with four sixes to his name. It was not his most fluent inning but showed the kind of damage he can do if he spends any little time at the crease.
RR has been playing with essentially just five batsmen and then Riyan Parag at number 6. This is a dangerous ploy and we have seen their batting tested in the last few matches. Of course, Buttler, Samson, and Hetmyer are in great form so the team does tend to get to good totals on more occasions than not.
Devdutt Padiakkal and Daryl Mitchell need to step up otherwise there will be some discussion about their place in the batting lineup.
Betting on Samson or Buttler to hit a six seems to be quite safe in their current form. You could also bet on either one of them to be the Top Batsman for Rajasthan Royals in this match.
The bowling lineup for the Rajasthan Royals is absolutely superb. Ashwin, Chahal, and Boult are proven T20 world-class players while Prasiddh Krishna and Kuldeep Sen seem to be quite well-equipped for the international level as well.
This is where RR could take a decisive advantage in this match. We don’t think they have a weak bowling option and although Daryl Mitchell went for some runs in his previous game, he is more than a useful all-rounder to have in the lineup as well.
RR seems to have ended up with the best Indian players from most sides after the auction and that is the core reason for its success.
