0 Honda City Hybrid: Honda Launches India’s First Mainstream Strong Hybrid Electric Car, Gives 26.5 Kmpl Mileage

Honda Cars India, the premium car maker in India, on Wednesday launched its much-awaited new 2022 Honda City e:HEV Hybrid in the country.

With an ex-showroom price of Rs 19,49,900 in Delhi, the New City e:HEV is the first car in the mainstream segment to be equipped with strong hybrid electric technology.

Will run on both electricity and petrol-

The new Honda e:HEV is the first product in the mid-size sedan segment to get a true hybrid engine. The car is capable of running on pure electric mode, and can also be driven with an internal combustion engine (ICE).

The City e:HEV is powered by Honda’s unique self-charging and highly efficient two motor electric hybrid system mated to a smooth 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycled DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine.

With this technology, the Honda City Hybrid car delivers the world’s best electric-hybrid performance with a smooth drive, excellent fuel efficiency of 26.5 kmpl and extremely low emissions. With this, the Honda City Hybrid has now become the most fuel efficient mid-size sedan in the country.

Advance Intelligent Safety Technology:

Honda has also introduced its advanced intelligent safety technology “Honda Sensing” for the first time in India with the New City e:HEV. With this launch, the company reiterates its global vision of carbon neutrality and zero collision fatalities by 2050.

booking details:

Honda has already started taking bookings for the City hybrid sedan. Buyers can book the new Honda City Hybrid by paying an initial amount of Rs 21,000 at all authorized Honda dealerships across the country.

It can also be booked online through the ‘Honda from Home’ platform on the company’s official website for an amount of Rs 5,000.

Production is on:

The Japanese carmaker recently introduced the new Pure Hybrid City sedan. The company has started its production at the company’s Tapukara plant in Rajasthan.

The automaker recently rolled out the first unit of the hybrid sedan. The company is also offering a standard warranty of 3 years unlimited kilometers and an optional extended warranty of up to 5 years and a warranty of up to 10 years from the date of purchase of the car.

Engine, Speed ​​& Mileage:

Coming to the hybrid power train, the City E: HEV is powered by a 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle petrol engine that produces 126 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque combined.

The engine works as a generator to charge the battery. While it can also run on Pure EV Mode or ICE Mode, which the computer switches on automatically. New City E: HEV gives mileage of 26.5 kmpl. Also the top speed of the car is 176 kmph.

Many great features are available in the 2022 Honda City Hybrid sedan. An 8-speaker system has been given in the cabin of the car.

It gets an 8.0-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, a smart key system, Amazon Echo and Google Assistant along with the latest Honda Connect app, which supports smartwatches with voice command function on select smartwatch models. The driver display is fully digital and it also gets auto lock function.

Strong Safety Features:

Honda Sensing Technology has been given in Honda City Hybrid, due to which many safety features are available in it. Features like Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation, Auto High Beam, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist have been provided in the new City Hybrid.

Along with this, safety features like vehicle stability control, disc brakes on all four wheels, hill hold assist, parking hold, lane watch camera, multi angle rear view camera, ABS with EBD, six airbags are also included.

In the Indian market, where Honda City competes with Maruti Suzuki Ciaz (Maruti Suzuki Ciaz), Hyundai Verna (Hyundai Verna) and Skoda Slavia (Skoda Slavia).

The Honda City Hybrid, on the other hand, has no direct rival as this technology is not available in any of the competing models in the segment.
