0 Allahabad High Court: Installing loudspeaker in mosque is not a fundamental right

Allahabad High Court

The Allahabad High Court has also approved the decision of the Yogi government to remove loudspeakers from mosques and other religious places.

While dismissing the petition seeking permission to install loudspeakers in the mosque, the court said that installing loudspeakers in the mosque is not a fundamental right of anyone.

Saying this, the High Court on Friday dismissed a petition seeking permission to install loudspeakers in the Noori Masjid in Badaun.

The Allahabad High Court has said that it is not a fundamental right of anyone to give azaan by putting loudspeakers on the mosque.

Regarding this, the SDM of Badaun also gave proper reasons for not allowing loudspeakers to be installed on the mosque. This order has been given by a division bench of Justice VK Birla and Justice Vikas Wednesday on Irfan’s petition.

The court has dismissed the petition. The petitioner said that the order of SDM Bisoli is illegal. Due to this, the fundamental rights and legal right of the petitioner to read Azaan by installing loudspeaker in the mosque has been violated.

For this reason, the order of SDM not to allow installation of loudspeakers dated December 3, 21 should be canceled. The petition was filed on 20 August 21, which was rejected by the SDM.
