Prashant Neel-directed film ‘KGF 2’, based on gold smuggling and becoming the country’s fastest film to earn Rs 200 crore in Hindi, has maintained its charisma even in weekly days after a weekend blast.
The film ‘KGF 2’, which earned Rs 429.30 crore at the domestic box office in the first five days including all-language versions, continued its march on Tuesday after passing the crucial Monday test of business. With the film earning around Rs 39 crore on Tuesday, the film has now crossed the psychological mark of Rs 500 crore gross.
With Tuesday’s earnings of the film ‘KGF 2’, the total collection (gross) of the film has now reached around Rs 545 crore. The film ‘KGF 2’ also made a great collection in Hindi on Tuesday.
According to the initial figures, the film has earned around Rs 21 crore on the sixth day of its release. Offices and business establishments remained open on both Monday and Tuesday and maintaining its collections around Rs 20 crore on both days has been a major achievement of the film despite people being at work.
As far as the net collection of the film in Hindi is concerned, including the collection on Tuesday, the film has now reached the net earning of 240 crores. The film’s collection on Wednesday was also in the range of Monday and Tuesday, so the film is sure to cross the Rs 250 crore collection in the first seven days itself.
According to the pace of collection, the assessment is that the film will be successful in earning around Rs 260 crore in the first seven days of its release. The film has earned around Rs 21 crore in Hindi on Tuesday as per the initial figures.
The film ‘KGF 2’ earned around Rs 6 crore in its native language Kannada on the sixth day of release and the film’s Kannada earnings reached around Rs 86 crore. In Telugu and Tamil also, the film has earned almost the same amount on Tuesday.
The first six days collection of the film has been around Rs 97 crore in Telugu and around Rs 47 crore in Tamil. The film is doing well in Malayalam too. The film has crossed the Rs 35 crore mark on Tuesday, earning around Rs 4.50 crore in Kerala.
The film ‘KGF 2’ has already broken the record of the fastest film ‘Bahubali 2’ to earn Rs 200 crore in Hindi. Now in terms of its first week’s earnings also, there is a hope of breaking the record of ‘Bahubali 2’.
The film ‘Bahubali 2’ in Hindi had earned Rs 247 crore in the first week. And, in terms of first week’s box office collection, it is still standing at number one position. From this location, the film ‘KGF 2’ seems to be taking off on Wednesday itself.
