Border Security Force (BSF) personnel shot down a drone near Dhanoa Kalan village on the Indo-Pakistan border at 1.15 pm on Thursday-Friday. On entering Indian territory from Pakistan side, BSF jawans opened fire after hearing the sound of this Chinese-made drone.
Soon after, the entire area was cordoned off. Officers of police and other intelligence agencies and BSF launched a search operation in the entire area. Around 6:15 am, the jawans recovered a Chinese-made drone.
According to a BSF spokesperson, the jawans were patrolling the India-Pakistan border villages and along the international border. During this, BSF jawans patrolling in the border village Dhanoa Kalan area heard the sound of something suspicious coming into Indian territory at 1:15 pm. The soldiers fired at him and dropped him.
BSF officers immediately cordoned off the entire area and shared the information with the local police and various intelligence agencies. The BSF along with the police and other intelligence agencies launched a search operation in the entire area.
At around 6:15 am on Friday, BSF jawans recovered a China-made drone (model DJI Metris 300) near village Dhanoa Kalan. At the same time, there is a possibility that this drone may have come to Indian territory carrying heroin or weapons. Since then, BSF is continuously conducting search operation on the border.
Pakistani drone also seen in Tarn Taran-
On the other hand, the movement of Pakistan drones was seen in BOP Baba Peer (Bhikhiwind) of Tarn Taran on Friday morning. After this, the 71 Battalion of the Border Security Force fired four rounds.
After firing, the drone went back to Pakistan territory. After this, the Border Security Force and Punjab Police jointly launched a search operation in the area.
The incident is being told from five to nine in the morning. This has been confirmed by a spokesman of the Border Security Force.
