According to local media, unusual movement has been observed around Bani Gala, a residential area on the east bank of Rawal Lake in Islamabad. At the same time, a case of terrorism has been registered against Imran Khan under the Anti-Terrorism Act for threatening the Additional Sessions Judge.
Pakistani government bans live broadcast of speeches:
The Media Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (PEMRA) has banned the broadcast of live speeches of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party chief Imran Khan for threatening a police officer and a woman magistrate during an address in Islamabad. PEMRA in its notification said that Imran Khan’s speech is a clear violation of our authorization rules.
Apart from this, Imran’s speech is also a violation of Article 19 of the Constitution. The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has said that Imran’s recorded speech will be allowed to be broadcast only after ensuring effective monitoring and editorial control.
Imran threatened in the rally in support of Shahbaz Gill:
Let us inform that Imran Khan had taken out a rally in support of Shahbaz Gill, a close leader of the jailed Imran. In which Imran gave this statement. Gill was arrested for spreading propaganda against the country on a private TV channel. Imran said that if a case can be registered against Gill, Fazlur Rehman, Nawaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah will also face judicial proceedings. Khan said what happened to Gill was not because of what he said, it happened under the politics of revenge.
Imran Khan raised questions on the appointment of Army Chief:
Imran Khan linked the current situation in Pakistan to the appointment of the army chief and termed it “unfortunate” that everything in the country was happening for one appointment. Talking to social media influencers in the federal capital, the former prime minister said the army chief should be appointed on the basis of merit.
