The Chief Minister has directed the District Magistrates to provide 25 kg of rice, one kg of pulses, potato, onion and edible oil to the families affected by the floods. According to preliminary estimates, crops in 3,173.58 hectares and horticulture crops in 5,928.73 hectares have been damaged due to floods.

Low-lying areas in Odisha’s Malkangiri district have been submerged by water. There is a flood like situation due to the ingress of Godavari water here. The district administration has opened relief camps at many places and people are being evacuated from low-lying areas. It has been raining heavily in the district for the last four days.
Four children die due to drowning in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar:
Due to continuous rain, there was a flood-like situation in Sriganganagar and surrounding areas on Saturday. Waterlogging occurred at many places and many areas of the city remained submerged in water. The situation has become so bad that Army and BSF have been pressed into the front for relief work. In Nagaur district, four children drowned in a pit filled with rain water. According to eyewitnesses, the children were taking a bath in the pit and suddenly drowned.
At the same time, due to heavy rains in Sriganganagar, the district collector’s vehicle got submerged more than half under the bridge. After this the car was pulled out with the help of local people.
