Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra is quite sure that he will cover 90 meters in javelin throw by the end of this year, but he is not thinking about it. Neeraj believes that this will increase the pressure on him.
Neeraj doesn’t want any extra pressure on himself in the World Championships. A distance of 90 meters is considered an important standard in javelin throw, and the number of players who consistently throw the javelin for this distance is very small.
The 24-year-old Neeraj has participated in three tournaments this season and has improved his personal record twice. He threw 89.30 away at the Pavo Nurmi Games last month. He then covered a distance of 89.94 meters and was just six centimeters away from covering a distance of 90 metres.
I thought I could throw beyond 90 meters:
“Today I was feeling better. I thought I could throw javelin more than 90 meters away, but that’s fine. I have many more competitions this year as well.” He finished second in this competition. He said that he is close to 90 meters and this year he can cover that distance. “I didn’t win the competition, but I feel much better, because I gave my best,” he said.
