Voting has started for 16 Rajya Sabha seats in four states. In Maharashtra, where Owaisi has played a big bet by supporting Maha Vikas Aghadi, in Rajasthan and Haryana, the BJP has created trouble for the Congress by supporting independent candidates. Amidst all this, Raj Thackeray’s party MNS has attacked Shiv Sena.
Actually, AIMIM has two MLAs in Maharashtra. The votes of these two MLAs make the Rajya Sabha elections here interesting. Ahead of the commencement of voting, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has extended his support to Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi. Regarding this, MNS has said that the Hindutva of Shiv Sena has been exposed by taking support from Owaisi’s party.
Support taken from descendants of Nizam:
MNS spokesperson Gajanan Kale said, Shiv Sena has taken support from the descendants of Nizam. How his Hindutva is, it has been exposed. Actually, AIMIM has issued a statement saying that our MLAs will vote for Congress candidate Imran Khan.
In Maharashtra, the MVA has fielded four candidates for the Rajya Sabha. There are two candidates from Shiv Sena, one each from Congress and NCP. Congress leader and state revenue minister Balasaheb Thorat said, “All our four candidates are going to win the election comfortably in the first round itself.”
