BJP has entrusted the responsibility of strengthening one hundred booths to the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members of the party to fulfill Mission 75 in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Booths will be strengthened by engaging the beneficiaries of the schemes of the Central and State Governments. For this, regular contact and communication will be done with the beneficiaries. Till now, the campaign to benefit the underprivileged families will also go on.
In the booth empowerment workshop of MPs organized under the chairmanship of the party’s state president Swatantradev Singh at the BJP state headquarters on Friday, a mantra was given to strengthen the booth. Party’s national vice-president and in-charge of booth empowerment, Baijayant Panda said that in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had won about 1.25 lakh out of 1.63 lakh booths.
The party has divided the booths into A, B and C category on the basis of booth wise results. He said that a Lok Sabha constituency has 4-5 assembly constituencies. Every MP will have to travel continuously to 25-25 weak booths in each assembly constituency of his parliamentary constituency. In this, local workers, booth committee and MLAs will also help them.
In the first phase, every MP has to find out the reasons for the weakness of the booth by visiting hundred booths, contacting and communicating and solving them. Apart from this, the beneficiaries of the schemes of the central and state government located in the booth area have to be contacted and connected with the party.
He said that the road to victory can be made easier than before by strengthening the weak booths. He said that the monsoon session of Parliament could start from July 18. In such a situation, the MPs will have to complete the first phase of booth empowerment before that.
On the occasion, Swatantradev Singh said that the party will form the government under the leadership of Narendra Modi for the third time in the country in 2024 by winning 75 seats in UP. State General Secretary Organization Sunil Bansal also asked to organize the programs of International Yoga Day on June 21, the anniversary of Emergency on June 25 and Environment Protection Day on the birth anniversary of Jan Sangh founder Shyama Prasad Mookerjee on July 6. State party general ministers Subrata Pathak and Ashwini Tyagi were also present in the meeting.
Strategy will be made on the lost 16 seats:
The BJP had won 64 out of 80 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. While ten for BSP, five for SP and one for Congress. The situation of the BSP’s continuous weakening, now the BJP has started making a separate strategy for the ten seats occupied by the BSP.
At the same time, after Amethi, now there is a plan to snatch Rae Bareli from the hands of Congress. The BJP will also start work afresh on the five seats occupied by the SP.
A dozen MPs including Maneka did not attend the meeting:
About a dozen MPs did not attend the booth empowerment workshop of BJP MPs under the Lok Sabha elections 2024. These include Union Ministers Smriti Irani, Sanjeev Balyan, Pankaj Chaudhary, Maneka Gandhi, Varun Gandhi, Kaiserganj MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, Vinod Sonkar. Whereas all the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members of the party were invited.
On the other hand, before the assembly elections, the presence of Sanghamitra Maurya, the MP daughter of former minister Swami Prasad Maurya, who left the BJP and joined the SP, was a topic of discussion. Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey, SP Singh Baghel, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Kaushal Kishor, BL Verma and other ministers attended the meeting.
Apart from these, National Vice President of the party Rekha Verma, National Minister Harish Dwivedi and National President of Kisan Morcha Rajkumar Chahar were also present in the meeting.
