0 Football: Tickets for India’s Asian Cup qualifying football match sold out in 10 minutes

Tickets for the Asian Cup qualifying round match between India and Cambodia to be held on June 8 at the Salt Lake Stadium ran out in 10 minutes. Later the All India Football Federation (AIFF) had to issue more tickets.

12 thousand tickets were issued for this qualifier match, after which Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri urged the state government authority to allow more people.

The AIFF had made all the tickets complimentary and the state government allowed only 12,000 tickets at the Salt Lake Stadium with a capacity of 70,000 spectators to avoid law and order problems.

This Chhetri said that the rival team should realize that there are spectators in the stadium. If the stadium has a capacity of 90 thousand and the spectators will remain only 10 to 15 thousand, then what will be the benefit of the domestic situation.

Post feedback meeting:

After Chhetri’s response, a meeting was held between the state government and the AIFF in the morning, in which it was decided to open as many stadiums as there is demand. During this, the member of the meeting said that whoever has given the number 12 thousand, he is wrong.

The West Bengal government did not impose any restrictions. This stadium is open to all. However, in view of the interest of the people, AIFF has decided to issue only 20 thousand tickets. Each ticket costs Rs 5 and is complimentary. AIFF will have to bear the loss for this.
