Indian cricketers Deepak Chahar and Jaya Bhardwaj tied the knot on Wednesday. The procession took place in the premises of Hotel Jaypee Palace. Wearing a cream colored sherwani and Rajasthani safa, the look of Deepak Chahar was being made.
In the procession, the baratis were dancing to the tune of the band. The lamp on the horse also kept trembling. When it was garlanded, applause erupted. Jaya looked very beautiful in a peach colored lehenga-chunri.
The wedding rituals of Deepak and Jaya began on Tuesday at Hotel Jaypee Palace. Mehndi and Sangeet rituals were held on the first day. Haldi ceremony took place on Wednesday afternoon. Deepak and Jaya were seen grooving with relatives on Punjabi songs.
Relatives showered flowers on both of them. At 7:30 pm, the procession started climbing in the premises of Hotel Jaypee Palace. In the backdrop of Deepak riding on a white mare, instead of a rose garden, there was a tableau of Bihari ji adorned with flowers. The baratis danced fiercely on the film and Punjabi songs being played by Sudhir Band.
Deepak’s cousin Rahul Chahar danced a lot in the procession. Seeing the baraatis dancing, even Deepak could not stop himself from trembling. While sitting on the mare, he started dancing.
Relatives and close friends including Deepak’s father Lokendra Singh Chahar, sister Malti Chahar were involved in the procession.
Barat’s rehearsal took place 12 days ago at the Goenka-Chahar Cricket Academy. A band and a mare were also brought in it. On the other hand, the reception in Delhi will be held on Thursday at the Kamal Mahal Banquet Hall of Hotel ITC Maurya in Delhi. It will include players from the Indian team and IPL team Chennai Super Kings.
