State Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Akali leaders including Governor have received bomb threats from Jaish-e-Mohammed. In the letter in the name of station master of Sultanpur Lodhi railway station in district Kapurthala, the DRM of Ferozepur railway division, several major railway stations and many famous religious places were mentioned in the bombing. It has been written about the bomb blasts on May 21 and 23.
The staff of Sultanpur Lodhi railway station were blown away after reading the letter. Taking this seriously, the station master has written letters to the higher authorities to make proper protective arrangements.
In the letter, a threat has been written in Hindi language on the page of an English note book of a school child. The envelope in which the letter has arrived has a postage stamp on it, but there is neither a black seal nor date written on any post office.
Supervisor received the letter-
According to Rajbir Singh, Station Master of Sultanpur Lodhi Railway Station, a postman reached the station with a letter at around 2.15 pm on Wednesday afternoon and this letter was received by Supervisor Vikas Kumar.
His (station master) name was written on the letter, so he immediately came to him with the letter. When he opened the letter and read it, on one page, it was written by the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed’s Area Commander Salim Ansari Jammu and Kashmir with Karachi Pakistan, Jaish Zindabad and Pakistan Zindabad as God will forgive me.

Rajbir Singh said that as soon as he read the letter, he immediately wrote a letter to the higher officials of the railways and informed them about it and asked them to take necessary steps to increase the security of the railway station.
The station master told that this letter has come in the same way as it usually comes, there is no date and post office seal on the envelope. SSP Kapurthala Rajbachan Singh Sandhu said that the matter is related to GRP. GRP will take action in this matter.
In terms of security, precautionary security arrangements have been intensified by the police. GRP SHO Balbir Singh Ghuman said that earlier letters with such handwriting had come to him many times in the past. The handwriting of this letter will be checked by experts and a case is also being registered in this matter.
Faridkot police on alert:
Security arrangements have been beefed up in Pathankot including Punjab-Jammu after receiving threats to blow up Sultanpur Lodhi railway station. Checking campaigns were conducted at Pathankot Cantt railway station by Railway Police and Punjab Police.
At the same time, SSP Pathankot Arun Saini himself reached the station to take stock of the security arrangements. He told that as soon as he got the information, he has deployed the police force at different places.
Told that Punjab Police and Railway Police are continuously checking at Cantt railway station so that no mischievous element can carry out any crime.
Appealing to the people, he said that the responsibility of their security rests with the Punjab Police. The police of Faridkot is on alert after the threat letter received from Jaish-e-Mohammed.
