0 Wimbledon 2022: Simone Halep and Rebakina in Wimbledon semi-finals

Romania’s Simona Halep, the 2019 Wimbledon champion, has reached the semi-finals for the third time with her 12th consecutive win at Wimbledon. In the quarterfinals on Wednesday, 16th seed Simona defeated 20th seed Amanda Anisimova of America 6-2, 6-4 in straight sets.

At the same time, 17th seed Alina Ribakina of Kazakhstan defeated Ajla Tomjanovich of Australia 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 to make it to the last four of any Grand Slam for the first time. Halep and Alina will face each other in the semi-finals on Thursday.

Simona reached the last four without losing a set:

Arab players could not progress beyond the quarter finals:

The sixth player to reach the semi-finals at the age of 34:
