0 Henley Index 2022: Pakistan is far behind in passport ranking, Japan on top, India got 87th place

The international strength of any country is seen from its passport ranking and in this Pakistan has to be content with 109th position. Japan has once again topped the passport ranking among 199 countries, while Afghanistan is at the bottom. India is at 87th position.

Henley & Partners, the organization that issues passport rankings, has released the Henley Passport Index for 2022. If we talk about Pakistan becoming the factory of terrorism in the world, then it is the fourth weakest passport holder country in the world. Pakistan’s reputation in the world is so bad that a person holding its passport is allowed to visit only 32 countries without a visa.

After Pakistan, only 3 countries are left in the last place, in which Syria (110), Iraq (111) and Afghanistan (112) are at number. Citizens of Japan can travel to 193 countries without a citizen visa. Singapore and South Korea (192) are shared second on the list after Japan. Germany and Spain (190) are at number three.

India slips four places:

India’s ranking has slipped 4 places to 87th in the rankings. India was ranked 83rd in the index released earlier this year and citizens of the country can travel visa-free to 60 countries. Along with India, Tajikistan and Mauritania also got the same ranking. China is slightly ahead of India in this matter, ranked 69th in its list and a person holding its passport can travel to 80 countries without a visa.

Japan is on top because:

The reason why Japan comes first is that the Japanese people like peace and stay away from fights. They like to travel to other country only for business or travel purpose. Also spend freely on travel.

Ranking is done twice a year:

This ranking is released twice a year. The indexes are released for the first time in January and the second time in July. According to the website of Henley Passport Visa Index – Realtime data is updated throughout the year. Changes in visa policy are also taken into account. The ranking is determined on the basis of the number of countries a passport holder can travel to without obtaining a prior visa.
