Yoga, the ancient identity of India, has not only achieved a new position in the world, but the medical world is also now accepting on the basis of scientific studies that people can be saved from many serious diseases through yoga therapy. Ahead of International Yoga Day on Monday, doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi have revealed through a clinical study that yoga therapy can reduce the symptoms of migraine.
Doctors said, experts from the Department of Neurology of AIIMS, in collaboration with CIMR, conducted a study which found that migraine sufferers are greatly benefited through yoga therapy. When the patients involved in the study were started giving yoga therapy, soon after some time they started showing signs of improvement, which gradually brought the patient to a much better condition.
AIIMS senior Dr. Manjari Tripathi said that migraine is the most common headache which is seen in patients of almost all ages. It has more number of youth. According to an estimate, about 13 to 14 percent of headache cases worldwide are related to migraine. It is also a risk factor for heart disease, psychological impairment and suicidal ideation.
He said, when we started the study, there was very limited data available in the medical field. Therefore, a large-scale study has been done on yoga therapy and migraine, the results of which are much better.
Sleep disorders removed in second study:
AIIMS has found out in another study, studies on sleep disorders and yoga therapy have been going on with them since the year 2012, now after completion, published in The National Medical Journal of India. In this study, 41 patients were selected who had sleep disorders. When he was given yoga therapy along with allopathy treatment, he got a lot of benefit in four years.
In this test, scientifically yoga nidra has been proved to be effective. According to doctors, a large population in India is suffering from Krasnic Insomnia disease. It is much higher in the urban population. A study was done on these patients regarding yoga therapy. Dr. Manjari said, Yoga Nidra can benefit people suffering from insomnia to a great extent.

The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), IIT Delhi and the Union Ministry of AYUSH have jointly released a scientific study regarding Bhramari Pranayama. According to this, people can now get freedom from the trouble of forgetting. If a person does Bhramari Pranayama for 40 minutes daily, then his memory starts increasing. Blood circulation starts flowing better in his body. This information has come out after studying people of 60 different ages.
Dr. Medha Kulkarni of AIIA said, IIT Delhi has discovered a device which can be done by putting it in the nose. After testing this device, etc., a clinical study was started. This study is not yet completed. Soon its final results will be in publication status. But, so far it has been found that the sound emitted during Bhramari has a profound effect on the brain. In the study, it is being monitored through EEG test.
