The IFSO unit of Delhi Police on Wednesday registered an FIR against AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi for allegedly making provocative remarks. After the FIR against Owaisi, AIMIM workers have started protest outside the Parliament Police Station. The name of Swami Yeti Narasimhanand has also been registered in the FIR.
Apart from Owaisi and Swami Narasimhanand, Delhi Police has also registered a case against Nupur Sharma, Naveen Kumar Jindal, Shadab Chauhan, Saba Naqvi, Maulana Mufti Nadeem, Abdur Rehman, Gulzar Ansari, Anil Kumar Meena, Pooja Shakun Pandey.
Delhi Police alleges that all the accused were allegedly spreading hate messages, inciting different groups and creating a situation which is detrimental to the maintenance of peace.
It is known that in the past, the Bharatiya Janata Party had suspended party spokesperson Nupur Sharma for making controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad. Along with this, the head of Delhi Media Cell, Naveen Jindal was expelled.
After this, Nupur Sharma said on Tuesday that she accepts and respects the party’s decision. He had said that I grew up practically in the organization. I accept and respect his decision.
On the other hand, Naveen Kumar Jindal on Tuesday claimed that he and his family members are receiving death threats on social media platforms. Jindal had made a controversial tweet on Muhammad Sahab on June 1, after which he is being attacked on social media.
